"A Companhia, enquanto empresa negociante de vinhos, estava sujeita ao regime geral de pagamento de impostos na Alfândega do Porto onde tinha mesmo um funcionário para tratar do pagamento dos referidos impostos. Nesta subsecção temos, assim, o registo de despachos, contas-correntes dos direitos alfandegários e bilhetes dos direitos. Em todos eles se registam os montantes pagos aos mais diversos impostos, como o consulado, 2%, mesa grande, portagem, sisa, malatostas e emolumentos."
