"A Companhia arrecadava 40 réis por cada pipa de vinho, vinagre, aguardente e azeite conduzida pelo rio Douro, para o Porto, de acordo com os avisos régios de 25 de Fevereiro, de 23 de Março de 1779 e de 24 de Outubro de 1825. Esta contribuição tinha como destino as obras efectuadas no rio Douro, das quais a Companhia era responsável. A documentação produzida nesta Subsecção plasma as competências e funções atribuídas."
